A lovingly made backpack made from locally sourced ash - each splint has been pounded, prepared and woven by hand. The design has been inspired by the traditional Adirondack black ash pack baskets of North America.

It has a handle made of a single piece of ash which has been carved using only an axe and a carving knife, which is then steam bent into shape. 

The straps are made of veg-tan UK leather, and fitted with brass fixings and rivets.
